How Does It Work?

Be prepared when you call to schedule an appointment.
The work order requires the following information:

Home
  1. The property address
  2. Your name
  3. Best contact phone number
  4. Best email address for your report
  5. Approximate number of square feet of the home
  6. Age of the home
  7. Additional amenities: pool, well, septic system, sprinkler, spa, etc.
  8. Your realtor's name
  9. Is the home occupied or vacant?
  10. Are the utilities turned on?
  11. As a courtesy, we will schedule a WDI (wood destroying insect) for you with a licensed pest control company.

(We know we're asking for a lot of information, but we believe in being thorough!)

Your Inspection

  • Yes, you may come to your inspection. As a matter of fact, we encourage you to be there for your oral report. Pictures may be better than a thousand words, but nothing beats the real thing!
  • Plan on your inspection to take 2-3 hours. There are about 500 points to check.
  • You and your realtor and/or builder may expect to receive your written report, which includes digital photos, by email the next morning. (Saturday inspections may be received on the following Monday.)
  • At the time of the inspection, we accept payment by cash, credit card, or PayPal. If payment is delayed until closing, an additional fee will be added.
  • We are on many of the well known broker lists of preferred inspectors as well as quite a few of the individual agent/brokers lists in the areas we serve.

Pool Before your inspection, we strongly recommend that you read the Inspection Authorization and Agreement (PDF opens in a new window) . If you have questions after reading the Agreement, please address them with the inspector before the inspection. You will be asked to initial and sign the Inspection Authorization and Agreement whether you come to your inspection or not.
